When Breackann first arrived at New Outlook Academy, she wasn’t ready to embrace all that the school had to offer. But she soon realized that if she wanted to change the direction of her life, she needed to step outside her comfort zone and take advantage of every opportunity.
That decision made all the difference.
From earning her high school diploma to participating in clubs and activities—and even writing and performing her own original song—Breackann discovered her confidence, her talents, and her potential.
Now, she’s preparing for her next chapter at Kutztown University, and we couldn’t be more proud!
Watch Breackann share her inspiring journey and hear how saying “yes” to new opportunities helped shape her future.
Congratulations, Breackann! We wish you all the best as you begin this exciting new chapter. May your future be filled with success, happiness, and endless opportunities!

From going on-air to exploring the behind-the-scenes operations of a live radio station, Breackann experienced firsthand what it takes to bring a broadcast to life.
During the visit, Breackann also shared her personal journey at New Outlook Academy, speaking about the growth, confidence, and opportunities she has found while attending our school.
Experiences like these help our students discover new interests, build self-confidence, and see the many possibilities that await them beyond the classroom.
A special thank you to Y108 Pittsburgh for once again opening your doors and providing our students with an experience they’ll never forget!
The Empower students at Summit Academy recently enjoyed a fun and engaging off-campus field trip to the Museum of Illusions in Pittsburgh!
Students explored more than 60 interactive exhibits that challenged their senses, sparked curiosity, and revealed the science behind fascinating optical illusions. From mind-bending displays to immersive experiences, there were plenty of opportunities to learn, laugh, and see the world from a whole new perspective.
Experiences like these encourage critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving while creating lasting memories outside the classroom.
At Summit Academy, we are proud to provide meaningful learning opportunities that inspire curiosity and make education come alive!
