Overview

Dedicate your skills and passion to youth seeking rehabilitation and sobriety.

Utilize your knowledge and counseling skills to help our students identify their need for rehabilitation while collaborating with clinicians and other professionals to develop individualized treatment objectives.  Counselors facilitate both group and individual counseling sessions in order to assist students with achieving their clinical objectives.

Extensive training is provided to all Drug and Alcohol Counselors to assist them in not only providing therapy but also evaluating treatment efficacy and communicating progress updates to the clinical team.

The Academy Schools also provides the training and supervision necessary to earn advanced addictions counseling certification through the Pennsylvania Certification Board.

Opportunities for advancement exist within the first year.  At Summit Academy, promotion may also include a position that offers a four-day workweek.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Psychology
  • Sociology
  • Counseling
  • Criminal Justice
  • Education
  • Human Services
  • Behavior Sciences

If you possess a related degree, we encourage you to apply to have your credentials evaluated for qualification.

Individuals with athletic and/or military backgrounds will be strongly considered, as well as bilingual applicants.

Child abuse, criminal history, driver’s license, FBI and medical clearances are required upon employment.

Summit Academy: $48,000-$60,000

New Outlook Academy: $43,000-$45,000
