The museum "Felt more personal. It was about someone's actual life, history, and accomplishments," Brianna.
Tickets for Kids Charities coordinated an inspirational visit to The Clemente Museum where students received a guided tour to learn about Clemente's life, the game and homeland that he loved, and his philanthropic efforts.
Brianna described the museum as "Open and big. Lots of pictures of Clemente."
Along with the pictures were jerseys, hats, shoes, gloves, trophies, baseballs, baseball bats, artwork, and more.
The intimate nature of the artifacts and the knowledgeable staff resonated with our students and exemplified the importance Clemente felt in contributing to the world around him. Students were humbled by the visit and the lengths Clemente went to for those in need.
"Any time you have an opportunity to make a difference in this world and you don't, then you are wasting your time on Earth," Roberto Clemente.
