Starting Wednesday, September 9, our Book Club will meet every Wednesday to read and discuss A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro.
This witty and suspenseful story introduces a modern-day crime-solving duo—the teen descendants of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson!
When Jamie Watson and Charlotte Holmes find themselves at the same boarding school, a suspicious death brings them together—and they soon discover that danger is closer than they ever imagined.

Our Summit Academy students recently participated in their third Cancer Awareness & Prevention Class of the Spring 2026 series with Joe Kerley from the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.
Students learned how small lifestyle changes—such as reducing added sugar and choosing healthier foods and drinks—can help reduce their risk of cancer. They put their knowledge to the test by comparing foods, ranking drinks by added sugar, and identifying healthier snack choices.
The class ended with a hands-on activity as students worked together to make no-bake healthy snacks using nut butter, seeds, oats, chocolate, and coconut flakes. There was plenty of laughter, teamwork, and enthusiasm along the way!
Our students were engaged, asked great questions, and enjoyed learning that healthy choices can also be fun—and delicious!
