We are proud to announce that on June 21st Summit Academy celebrated graduation for 23 exceptional young men. Friends, family, and faculty gathered to support the graduates on their big day. The commencement ceremony included vocal performances from students Brandon D. and Bailey E, as well as an inspiring message from our guest speaker, The Honorable Michelle G. Bononi. Following the graduation, students and their families were treated to a celebration and dinner hosted by The Summit Academy Food Services Department.
Congratulations to the Class of 2018 and good luck in your future endeavors.
New Outlook Academy hosted a Creative Expression contest on campus recently. The theme of the event was "Using Your Strengths to Overcome Your Challenges." The students created posters and wrote essays and some of their works were selected for submission to the Pennsylvania Juvenile Court Judges Commission Conference Poster and Essay Contests. All of the projects were incredibly inspiring and award-winning in our opinion. Congrats to all of our artists.
Congratulations

Summit Academy students had the opportunity to volunteer at the Elliott Acres Therapeutic Riding Center. Elliott Acres aims to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional status of riders by teaching basic horsemanship principals which assist in improving the riders' movement, concentration, and communication. Summit Academy students assisted with maintenance projects at the Center and also learned about the important work being done through the therapy offered. We look forward to continuing this wonderful partnership.
The New Academy Charter School visited the Job Corps facility in Charleston, West Virginia for a tour of their programs. Our students were interested in the carpentry and business administration programs. They were able to tour the dormitories, cafeteria, trade and academic programs. New Academy Charter School is on a mission to continue positive, post-high school transitions through our continued partnership with Job Corps.
