Summit Academy students continued their tradition of participating in the Adopt-A-School Program at Valley High School. This phenomenal partnership allows our young men to speak to freshman students at the high school about their experiences and the life lessons that they have learned, particularly since enrolling at Summit Academy. Congratulations to these fine gentleman for sharing their wisdom and showing pride in their accomplishments! And thank you to the staff and students at Valley High School for hosting this event.
This group of young ladies recently participated in the Studio E Salon Women in Business Seminar. The inspiring day included in interactive conversation with the staff about careers in the beauty salon industry, the importance of customer service and entrepreneurship. In addition, the girls were treated to a day of beauty, including hair cuts and new styles. Thank you to Studio E. Salon for this educational and enjoyable experience!!!
The New Outlook Academy Photography Class had an awesome opportunity to visit Heinz Field, tour the stadium and take photos in the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers!! What an amazing experience and great artwork ladies!

Our Algebra 1A class is solving proportion problems using cross multiplication and the distributive property! Not sure if this is old or new math but looks like they are killing it at Summit Academy!!!
With summer coming to a close, New Outlook Academy students are using the landscaping skills that they are learning in the Building Maintenance trade to complete maintenance and beautification project around the campus!
New Academy Charter School students participated in a "mindfulness experience during their recent visit to Horses with Hope.
This exercise included using both hands to introduce themselves to the horses, petting their face, ears and body while walking along side and behind the horse, They then completed the process for a second time but their eyes closed. The students were told to focus on the experience of being present in the moment! They also learned how to lead the horses that are used for therapeutic riding!
It is always a wonderful day when visiting Horses with Hope!
