Just about halfway through their season, the Summit Volleyball has a big week, taking on Rocky Grove tonight at 6:00pm and West Shamokin on Thursday at the same time. Both matches are away.
GOOD LUCK KNIGHTS!!
Thanks to a recent donation from MLB-MLBPA Youth Development Foundation, students were provided with brand-new equipment and supplies for this year’s season. Summit Academy is truly grateful for the donated items, which will not only prepare our students for their upcoming games but also provide them with valuable lifelong lessons in endurance, perseverance, and teamwork.
Thanks to a generous in-kind donation of a drum set and electric guitar, more students are enjoying the ability to learn and play instruments in our phenomenal music program. We’re grateful to The Guitar Center Music Foundation for making these creative arts opportunities possible.
Students at Summit Academy are already preparing for this growing season, thanks to the Youth Garden Grant provided by KidsGardening.org and the Garden Tower Specialty Award donated by Garden Tower Project. The generous donation of garden equipment and supplies will allow for an exciting cross-curricular learning opportunity between our science classes and our trades program. More to follow from the Clean Team Club in the coming months!
At the conclusion of the basketball season, the Summit Knights had one important game left on their schedule. They had the opportunity to take on court representatives from Westmoreland and Lycoming Counties. At the end of four quarters, the team came up just short of the victory, losing by a bucket, 65-63.
Thanks to the Judges and Probation Officers from both counties. Everyone had a great time, and we hope to make this an annual event!
Following our recent community service event with the Foster Love Project, student volunteers enjoyed some time photographing the amazing sites at the Frick Museum, including the Henry Clay Frick mansion.
The Knights take on the Monessen Greyhounds! Tickets are available at:
