Summit Academy Career and Technical Training Program is proud to now offer the Valvoline Ignition Certification. The class covers the several important elements in the automotive repair industry including Motor Oil 101, Automotive Fluids 101 and Automotive Chemicals 101. Each class consists of a video, class discussion, a written exam and an online skills assessment. The students also demonstrate the techniques they have learned by performing an oil change and and industry standard 30 point inspection on a vehicle in our automotive repair shop. The remaining classes focus on career preparation, as well as classes in Resume Building, Interviewing 101 and People Skills 101. At the conclusion of the curriculum, students demonstrate the ability to dismantle and reassemble a 4 cylinder engine within one class period.
Since starting the program in December, 15 students have completed and earned their certificate. Well done men!!!!
