TRAVELIN’ BY TROLLEY

"The whole point of the museum is to get trolleys more active and used. After the creation of the automobile, their popularity diminished." -- Natalia

Students visited the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum🚎, where they took a trip through history. The museum graciously donated a guided tour, gave a ride on a refurbished trolley, and provided a STEAM workshop in Restoration 101. The whole experience brought history to life for the students.

Natalie went on to say, "We got to see how they put the trolleys together and refurbished them. I learned that a lot of discovered trolleys were repurposed into cabins. The museum is currently refurbishing a trolley into a cabin on site."

The whole museum was an interactive experience. The refurbished cars allowed students to board and experience the atmosphere within the car.

"There was a subway car with original ads from the 50's and 60's." Her favorite part was seeing the cars in their original condition, "Getting to go inside the trolleys, it felt like you were actually in the 60's."

Thanks to Kevin, Jocelyn, and the rest of the museum team for giving our students a ticket 🎟 to ride and opening your doors to such a unique experience for our students.

"The staff were very educated. They could answer any of our questions. The whole team had a passion for trolleys."

Thanks to Natalia for providing her personal perspective on this fun and educational summer spotlight event!
