Students currently participating in the Culinary Services Program were rewarded with an off-campus “appreciation day” for all their hard work. They enjoyed a visit to the zoo and dinner out with Chef Chris.The staff and students at Summit Academy are so thankful for these young men and the effort they contribute toward the excellent meals and snacks provided by the Food Service Department.

Welding Instructor, Brady Kirkwood, worked with each student to prepare them to pass the American Welding Society (AWS) exam. George Kirk, AWS Representative, also provided support and guidance to our students throughout their preparation.

Students at New Outlook Academy completed a community service project with “Save our Strays” Pittsburgh, which is a non-profit that rescues, neuters and releases stray cats. Our students made winter shelters for community cats that have no homes. We are very proud of our students and their amazing projects.
