CATCH THE STUDENTS DOING SOMETHING GOOD! New Academy Charter School kicked off the Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) Initiative of “Catch the Students Doing Something Good!” A giant fishbowl, prominently displayed in the hallway, includes the names of students who are “caught” by staff members doing something good during the school day. There are regular drawings from the fishbowl for prizes to reward some lucky students who are going above and beyond in serving as positive role models, helping staff and peers and generally making a positive contribution to the school environment. New themes for the initiative will be announced regularly to help students remained focused on maintaining a positive attitude all year long. Pictured in the photo are Dayvar E. and Jose A.

Some positive encouragement for our Summit Academy Knights Football team. โค๏ธ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ’™ Keep you heads up boys,,,,it not the โ€œWโ€™sโ€ that define a team, but how you face adversity. Every year we start with a new group of kids that have little experience and field a team that competes in the WPIAL Conference. This year is the 1st team since 2019 to take the field since COVID.
