Welding Instructor, Brady Kirkwood, worked with each student to prepare them to pass the American Welding Society (AWS) exam. George Kirk, AWS Representative, also provided support and guidance to our students throughout their preparation.
MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKING CONTEST
Congratulations to New Outlook Academy student, Cheelo M., who was the winner of the Motivational Speech contest. She spoke about the transformation of her attitude toward her time at New Outlook Academy. She shared that once she embraced the many opportunities and individuals available to assist her, she was able to take advantage of all that New Outlook has to offer and truly enjoy being a kid again.

Students at New Outlook Academy completed a community service project with “Save our Strays” Pittsburgh, which is a non-profit that rescues, neuters and releases stray cats. Our students made winter shelters for community cats that have no homes. We are very proud of our students and their amazing projects.
