Arthur Stewart, a BC3 instructor and GED instructor at Summit Academy had the honor of addressing the graduates. Summit Academy hopes to be competitive after move up in classification
After a playoff appearance a year ago, the “new” Knights are now in Class 2A.
This summer, students at New Academy Charter School have completed over 245 hours of community service. They have built and painted birdhouses and butterfly houses for environmental organizations, made no-sew pillows and bedtime bags for foster kids, assembled grab-and-go weekend snack bags for hungry children and packaged coloring books, crayons and get well notes for kids at Children's Hospital. Without a doubt, students at New Academy Charter School are giving back but getting so much more in return!
