A big congratulations to our GED graduates who participated in the Butler County Community College Commencement Ceremony. Arthur Stewart, a BC3 instructor and GED instructor at Summit Academy had the honor of addressing the graduates. In his remarks, Art shared, “Everybody here bears witness to the culmination of your achievements. This is a beginning for many of you. The only thing that will hold you back is you. This summer, students at New Academy Charter School have completed over 245 hours of community service. They have built and painted birdhouses and butterfly houses for environmental organizations, made no-sew pillows and bedtime bags for foster kids, assembled grab-and-go weekend snack bags for hungry children and packaged coloring books, crayons and get well notes for kids at Children's Hospital. Without a doubt, students at New Academy Charter School are giving back but getting so much more in return!
