Our Book Club recently finished reading The Door in the Stone by Rob King, an exciting fantasy-adventure story that follows siblings Vic and Em as they journey through a mysterious stone door into the magical world of Kavenland. Along the way, they make new friends, discover hidden powers, and embark on a quest to save the realm from invasion.
To celebrate completing the book, our students had the incredible opportunity to meet author Rob King in person! During his visit, he shared insights about the story, answered questions, and engaged in thoughtful discussion with our Book Club members.
It was a truly special day that brought the magic of reading to life and highlighted the joy of connecting with the creative minds behind the stories we love. Thank you, Rob King, for making this experience so memorable for our students!

Our students enjoyed another fun-filled Spring Festival as they traveled “around the world” without ever leaving campus! From France to Italy and, of course, the USA, students explored different cultures by sampling a variety of foods, participating in exciting games, and learning about countries from around the globe.
The day also included a visit to the petting zoo, which was a favorite stop for many students!
Most importantly, it was wonderful to see our students laughing, smiling, and making memories with friends. Events like these create opportunities for connection, exploration, and fun that make our school community so special.
Today, our New Outlook Academy Class of 2026 spent part of their day in the art room decorating their graduation caps and preparing for tonight’s graduation ceremony.
Students used their creativity to design personalized caps that reflect their journeys, accomplishments, and dreams for the future. The excitement was evident as they added the finishing touches and looked forward to celebrating this important milestone with family, friends, and staff.
We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and can’t wait to celebrate their achievements tonight.
Congratulations, Class of 2026! ![]()

Our 9th Grade Earth and Space Science students recently visited the Moonshot Museum in Pittsburgh, where classroom lessons about the Moon, space, and our solar system came to life!
Students explored interactive exhibits focused on space exploration, engineering, and the many career opportunities within the growing space industry. One of the highlights of the trip was getting a behind-the-scenes look at Astrobotic’s headquarters, where they were able to see a real lunar spacecraft being assembled for a future mission to the Moon.
This hands-on experience gave students a unique opportunity to connect their studies with real-world science and technology while gaining a deeper understanding of the exciting future of space exploration.
Learning truly reached new heights on this unforgettable adventure! ![]()

Our Garden Club students at New Outlook Academy have been hard at work preparing for the summer growing season!
With gardening gloves on and shovels in hand, students spent time planting a variety of flowers and vegetables while learning what it takes to help a garden thrive. From preparing the soil to carefully planting each seedling, they are gaining hands-on experience while developing responsibility, patience, and teamwork.
Whether they’re growing colorful blooms or future harvests, students are taking pride in creating something beautiful and nurturing it every step of the way.
We can’t wait to watch their hard work grow throughout the summer and see both the vibrant flowers and delicious vegetables flourish in the months ahead!
At New Outlook Academy, learning extends beyond the classroomβand sometimes it starts right in the garden. ![]()
