Congratulations to Tyhirah P. for creating a winning entry in the Pennsylvania Juvenile Court Judges Commission 2019 Poster Competition. The theme of this year's contest was "Resilience – My Journey, My Voice, My Opportunity". Tyhirah's work was inspired by the courage and resilience she has demonstrated throughout her personal journey to heal from the trauma she has endured as victim of human trafficking.
We are very happy for Tyhirah and the other JCJC winners who will be recognized at this year's annual conference in November. #resilience
Summer is a great time for off-campus, outdoor adventures. Our young ladies recently enjoyed visits to PNC Park for a Pirates game, a visit to the Pittsburgh Zoo and a relaxing afternoon on the North Shore!
Finally some rain-free days for our students to get out and work in the garden. This annual project not only educates our young ladies on the benefits of growing fresh foods but offers a healthy form of outdoor exercise. Looking forward to seeing the fruits of their labor.
Once again, New Outlook Academy students spent Memorial Day morning placing flags on veteran graves at Highwood Cemetery! This annual community service project honors those who have given so much for the freedom that we all enjoy in our country. #thankyouveterans
