12 RULES FOR LIFE: AN ANTIDOTE TO CHAOS
The Summit Academy Book Club has selected this book by renowned Psychologist, Jordan B. Peterson as their current read. The work is based on 12 rules of life which are focused on the fundamental concept that each person must take responsibility for their own life. The book further asserts that in discovering the true extent of your own potential and resilience, mankind can thrive collectively. Students Khatrell M. and Hanif K. lead the book club along with Summit Academy teachers Riley Toy and Danielle Petras.
There are currently 25 students participating in the book club.
Well done men!!

Some positive encouragement for our Summit Academy Knights Football team. โค๏ธ๐๐๐
Keep you heads up boys,,,,it not the โWโsโ that define a team, but how you face adversity. Every year we start with a new group of kids that have little experience and field a team that competes in the WPIAL Conference. This year is the 1st team since 2019 to take the field since COVID.
AWESOME ALUMNI ALERT
We are incredibly proud of Summit Academy alumni Zach Loomis. He recently shared that he has been working with a successful landscape company and assisting with a lawn care crew.
The pictures speak for themselves as he and his team clearly do great work.
Congrats Zach – we wish you continued success in your career and in all you do!!!

FOOTBALL SEASON IS UPON US
After missing the 2020 football season due to the pandemic, the Summit Knights are nearly ready to kick off the 2021 season.
After weeks of conditioning and practice, Summit opened the season with a scrimmage against Riverside on August 21st. Many of our first-time players took this opportunity to practice new skills and plays against a live opponent.
The team is now preparing for their season opener against Avonworth on Friday, August 27th at 7:00pm.
Let’s go Knights!
