Whole Kids recently awarded Summit with a grant out of over 1,200 other applicants! Summit plans to utilize the award towards a greenhouse, garden shed, and wheelbarrow, enabling our Clean Team to garden year-round. We couldn’t be more grateful to have the opportunity to extend the growing season for our students.
The Knights Golf season is in full “swing” this fall. Players are working on driving, chipping and putting as they prepare for their first match later this month.
Looking forward to an exciting season on the links!
We are so excited to open our on-campus music studio in the coming months, partly due to your generous grant!!!
Recently, AA and NA began facilitating group sessions on campus for students in the rehabilitation process. These facilitators, along with our counseling team, have introduced the process of AA and NA to our young men while sharing their recovery stories and answering questions.
We look forward to our students’ continued participation in this valuable resource in their pursuit of sober living.
Our young men are almost at the end of their 10-week seminar on Tobacco Cessation. This has been an incredibly positive and educational experience for them. Their interaction and investment in each session have been phenomenal, and their interest in living tobacco-free has truly impressed the program facilitators.
Thank you to the team from Keystone Wellness for sharing this amazing program with us!
Our favorite day on Summit Academy’s campus is GRADUATION!
We are so proud of each student who has earned his high school diploma and GED. Last week, we had the opportunity to celebrate our 2024 graduates with staff, family and friends.
Good luck and best wishes for much success in the future.
Students rolled up their sleeves, threw on some gloves, and went to work laying out weed barriers and planting on the grounds at Summit Academy. For some, this is their very first experience with gardening! Special thanks to KidsGardening.org and Garden Tower Project for helping us grow new opportunities for our students.
