8th grade students in Mr. Aquadro’s class utilized virtual reality to visit Brazil last week. They toured the city of Sao Paulo, the Amazon River and the Rainforest… they also got up close and personal with a poisonous dart frog… thank goodness that was only a VR experience!!!

It was a gorgeous day at New Outlook to celebrate our Safari Soiree Spring Festival.
We had games, treat and craft stations, amazing food and ice cream and plenty of laughter and fun.
Thanks to all of our staff for coordinating another epic festival. It truly was a “wild” time.
Another month has come to an end, so that means another Beverly’s birthday party. This time, the girls teamed up to create their best robot buddy before wishing all of our April babies HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Here’s to another exciting trip around the sun
Beverly’s Birthdays recognized New Outlook as their 2024 Partner of the Year. Throughout the past year, Beverly’s Birthdays has visited each month to celebrate student birthdays with a group party, shopping on their Boutique Truck for the birthday girls, and birthday boxes curated to each birthday student’s interests. The heartwarming work Beverly’s Birthdays does each time they visit our school is priceless in the lives and hearts of the 163 kids who have celebrated their birthdays at New Outlook this past year. We are so very grateful to be recognized by this organization and more importantly, for the work that they do. Thank you, Beverly’s Birthdays! Here’s to many more years of cheer!
Last week, New Outlook received a generous donation of 10 boxes of books from Half Price Books’ Bethel Park location. These books will help diversify our student library to include a greater variety of perspectives and worldly views. Thank you, Half Price Books, for giving our students gifts that they can open again and again!
If you are going to watch the highest-grossing concert film of ALL TIME, you have to go BIG or go home.
And the New Outlook Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” watch party did just that. The event included cookie decorating, a selfie station, the all-important friendship bracelet making and plenty of singing and dancing.
Thanks to all of the staff who went all out to make this a truly magical day… its safe to say that “the crowd in the stands went wild.”
UPMC Hillman Cancer Center representatives presented their third installment of a 5-week education series focused on cancer awareness. This week included the basics and importance of good nutrition and included the opportunity to make a yummy and very healthy snack.
We are really looking forward to seeing what next week’s session will bring.
Thanks to everyone who voted for our “Hanging with my Peeps” Spring Art Exhibit and Contest.
All entries were amazing, but special congratulations to the projects featured as the top vote recipients.
Way to go Peeps!!
Students did an egg-cellent job on New Outlook’s Easter Egg Hunt. Many students shared that this was their first time participating in the exciting search for candy-filled eggs. They also received Easter baskets filled with sweet treats and craft items.
