The photography class at New Outlook Academy is a student favorite for good reason. From learning how to properly use equipment to mastering techniques that capture the perfect shot, students gain hands-on skills that elevate their creativity. Our talented photography instructors also teach unique approaches to editing and enhancing images, helping students bring their artistic visions to life.
Beyond the classroom, students have the opportunity to serve as photographers for on- and off-campus activities—capturing special moments and creating lasting memories with their friends.

We are incredibly proud of every student who submitted an entry—and especially proud of those who attended the conference and courageously spoke before the crowd to accept their awards. Your hard work, talent, and confidence shine brightly. Well done!
RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM OF THE YEAR!
New Outlook Academy is honored to be recognized as the 2025 Residential Program of the Year by the Pennsylvania Juvenile Court Judges’ Commission (JCJC). This achievement is especially meaningful as it marks back-to-back honors for our programs, with Summit Academy receiving this distinguished award last year.
We extend our gratitude to our county and state partners who walk alongside us every day in the challenging yet deeply rewarding work of juvenile rehabilitation and treatment. Your collaboration makes this mission possible.

We’re so grateful to Beverly’s PGH for throwing an unforgettable birthday bash for our students — especially our October birthday crew!
Every kid deserves to smile like this on their special day!
Congratulations to Rose K., New Outlook’s newest GED graduate! We are so proud of her hard work, dedication, and determination in reaching this incredible milestone. We can’t wait to see all she’ll accomplish next!

The smiles say it all!
Six young women at New Outlook Academy are continuing their journey in Adagio Health‘s Tobacco Cessation Program, an incredibly impactful initiative focused on preventing and reducing tobacco use while increasing awareness about the dangers of tobacco and secondhand smoke.
In this session, students explored common triggers they may encounter at home or in their communities and practiced healthy coping strategies to help them stay tobacco-free.
We’re proud of their commitment to making positive, lasting changes for their health and future!

Our HR Manager, Rochelle Coleman, spent a fun-filled afternoon with students creating homemade caramel apples from scratch — cooking the caramel sauce, dipping, topping, and packaging each delicious treat. These tasty creations were shared with everyone at our Fall Fest celebration!
A huge thank you to the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Penn State for their support through the PA Harvest of the Month grant, which helped make this hands-on (and mouth-watering!) experience possible.
