2025 Summit grad, Teal G., is all moved in and ready to kick off a great semester at Slippery Rock University, where he is majoring in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Graphic Design.

What’s really going on beneath our feet?
Summit students teamed up with Penn State to dig into soil testing in our garden! 
They’re learning about checking pH levels, nutrients, and composition — all to understand how soil health affects plant growth. From science class to sustainable practices, they’re growing more than just veggies!

Students at Summit built a multi-faceted garden this year, including four raised garden beds, in-ground gardening, and container gardening. During the raised bed build, students learned about companion planting to help deter pests and promote healthy growth. Thanks to Whole Kids Market Foundation for making this possible! The Knights’ Council enjoyed a recent visit to the Keystone Safari where they spent the day petting and feeding lots of unique and interesting animals.
The Knights’ Council is made up of students who demonstrate exceptional behavior and leadership.
Recently, members of the Knights’ Council enjoyed a couple of fun fieldtrips, including a visit to Eracers to complete a round of mini golf!!
