SPECIAL EDUCATION DAY- December 2, 2022 National Special Education Day is celebrated today to commemorate the signing of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) in 1975. This critical legislation granted all children with special needs access to a free and quality public education. At The Academy Schools, we focus on finding the right teaching technique to match each student’s learning style… together, we are better! “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. SPECIAL EDUCATION DAY- December 2, 2022 National …

Four young men recently had the privilege of participating in the Armstrong County “Drugs Kill Dreams” Program

They volunteered to speak with Central Armstrong High School students about their experiences with drug use and the implications of those decisions on their lives.

We are incredibly proud of these students for stepping out of their comfort zone to share their personal stories and serve as positive role models for other students.

Special thanks to State Trooper Rice, District Magistrate DeComo and District Attorney Charlton for supporting this critical program and allowing Summit Academy to be a part.

New Outlook Attends Pitt’s Big Win Over Boston College

A group of young ladies were in attendance when the Pitt Women’s Volleyball Team made history with their win over Boston College at the Fitzgerald Fieldhouse last weekend. The team secured a 2nd seed in the NCAA Tournament that will start this weekend.

Congrats to Pitt Women’s Volleyball and thanks for the hospitality during our visit. GOOD LUCK in the NCAA Tournament.

New Outlook Attends Pitt’s Big Win Over Boston College A group of young ladies were in attendance when the Pitt Women’s Volleyball Team made history with their win over Boston College at the Fitzgerald Fieldhouse last weekend. The team secured a 2nd seed in the NCAA Tournament that will start this weekend. Our students got to meet several of the players for photo ops after the game.
